What This Is
Private yoga sessions offer a more personalized approach than a typical group class.
Instead of following a general sequence designed for a room full of people, each session is tailored specifically to your body, your goals, and what you’re experiencing physically or mentally.
Many people come to me because they’re dealing with things like:
• Chronic low back pain
• Tight hips and stiffness from long workdays
• Neck and shoulder tension
• Poor sleep or high stress
• Limited mobility or flexibility
• Feeling disconnected from their body
In a private session, we can slow down and work directly with what’s happening in your body.
I guide you through carefully curated movements, postures, and breathing techniques that help release tension, improve mobility, and support your nervous system.
Because the session is designed around you, we can move at the right pace, adjust things as needed, and focus on what will actually make the biggest difference for how you feel.
Over time, many students notice less pain, better sleep, more energy, and a deeper sense of relief in their body.
Who This Is For
You might be ready for private sessions if...
• Your body has been through something (injury, illness, surgery, chronic pain) and you need guidance that accounts for that.
• You're navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, or emotional heaviness and want a practice that helps you regulate, not just stretch.
• You've always wanted to try yoga but felt intimidated by group classes.
• You're an experienced practitioner who wants to go deeper, refine your alignment, or work with breathwork and meditation more intentionally.
• You're aging consciously and want to move with more ease, maintain your range of motion, and feel strong in your body for years to come.
• You want to feel more present for your family, your work, or your life, and you know your nervous system needs some tending.
• You have a specific goal: better balance, more flexibility, increased strength, improved posture, or simply feeling good in your body again.
• You've tried other approaches and something is still missing.
What We Work With
Each session is shaped by what serves you most. Depending on your goals and what comes up, we may draw from:
Āsana — Mindful movement and postures that build strength, improve mobility, and create spaciousness in the body.
Prānāyāma — Breathwork techniques that shift your energy, calm your nervous system, and improve mental clarity within minutes.
Dhyāna — Meditation and stillness practices that help quiet the noise and reconnect you to your own center.
Body Awareness & Energy Regulation — Tuning into what your body is actually communicating and learning to work with it rather than against it, so the practice becomes something you carry into everyday life.
No session looks exactly like another (and that's the point).
How It Works
In Person — I offer private sessions in the Los Angeles area. Sessions are held in your home, your preferred space, or a mutually agreed upon location. All you need is enough floor space to stretch out, and a yoga mat if you have one. If you don't, we'll figure it out.
Online — Online sessions are seamless, intimate, and just as effective as in-person. I've been teaching virtually since 2020 and have worked with clients across different time zones, at-home offices, backyards, and hotel rooms. All you need is a device, a stable internet connection, and a small open space. That's it. No special equipment required.
All sessions are 60 minutes.
A Little About Liz
Since 2012, I've had the privilege of working with a wide range of students, all with unique bodies, backgrounds, and life circumstances. What that range of experience has shown me, over and over again, is that almost everyone is carrying something — and almost everyone is more capable of feeling better than they think.
My approach is trauma-informed and rooted in over a decade of study in yoga philosophy, breathwork, alignment, and energetic anatomy. I don't teach a one-size-fits-all class. I pay attention to what your body is actually doing, what your nervous system is communicating, and what you're ready for, and I build from there.
What I care most about is that you leave each session feeling more at home in your body than when you arrived. More open. Less burdened. Like something that was tight or stuck or heavy got a little more room to breathe. That's what a good private session does, and it's what keeps people coming back.

What People Say
-
Sophie N. — "I have traveled the world to search for a trauma informed yoga teacher with her skills and have yet to find anyone like her."
-
Andrea T. — "I’d been in a traumatic motor vehicle accident back in 2013, and I didn’t feel comfortable joining a class due to how my injuries affected my stability, so I reached out to Liz... and over time she helped me to regain flexibility, strengthening, and stability. We even focused on breath work which helped with my anxiety while driving again."
-
Sarah C. — "Liz taught me a private class at home when I was going through a really rough transition and also not really practicing very much, and it was such a breath of fresh air. I love how she intuitively shifted the practice for who she was teaching and tapped into what I needed in the moment."
-
Shannon M. — "One of Liz's gifts is being able to hold space for students so they can truly show up and be open and vulnerable."
Let's Find the Right Fit
Private sessions are available as single bookings or in packages of 5 and 10 — with rates that reflect your chosen format and commitment level. Online and in-person sessions are priced accordingly.
Before we dive in, I like to connect briefly by phone first. It gives us both a chance to make sure we're a good fit, talk through what you're looking for, to see how I can help.
